I don't know about you, but I can never find a bookmark when I need one. Most of the time I end up using a receipt or some scrap piece of paper. The ironic thing is, I have several beautiful bookmarks around the house!
Well, here is a card and gift all in one, for the reader in your family or circle of friends who may always be looking for a bookmark too. The bookmark is included right in the card's design!I used Elegant Eggplant, Close to Cocoa and Old Olive for the color scheme. The sentiment is stamped on Very Vanilla. The large Old Olive mat was run through the Big Shot using the Flowers Texturz plate. The corners on the sentiment layers were made using the ticket corner punch.By mounting the card mat and the sentiment on dimensionals, it's easy to slide the bookmark on and off the card. The Old Olive piece for the top of the bookmark is a label from the Matchbox Bigz XL die, the "weight" on the bottom of the ribbon is a flower from the Filigree designer brad set. I stamped the butterfly from Great Friend on vanilla cardstock in Elegant Eggplant craft ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder before cutting it out. I dyed two of the half pearls from the Pretties Kit using Elegant Eggplant reinker for the butterfly's body.
This is a quick yet elegant little card and gift set to give any reader in your life.

Craft Fair Mania
Well, here is my weekly post. Barely! I have been using any extra minute I can to make items for the three upcoming craft fairs I am participating in. Yes, I said three...
One of them is coming up this Saturday. Yikes. Since I haven't been doing much else, I thought I would share some of my projects with you. Above is a tag box I created using a template from Andrea Walford.
I sprayed all the ornaments with the alcohol shimmer mist I created using rubbing alcohol and Stampin' Up!'s new shimmer paint. They look really cool up close.
These totes have a total of six cards included with them. I used a retired Simply Sent kit to get my inspiration going.
Well, back to creating more. Have a great week everyone.

Tone on Tone
Here's a layout that will work for several card types.
I created this card for an over sized wedding card swap. This one measures 6" x 6". By changing out the embellishments and sentiment, you could use this for many occasions.
What I love about the tone on tone or monochromatic cards is that they are so easy and quick to put together. You don't need to worry about coordinating colors or trying to match embellishments. Just pick two or three shades of one color and go for it!
Using the Big Shot also made this card come together pretty quickly. I added texture to the white layer using the Distress Texturz Plate included in the Texture Plate #4 kit, the leaves were cut using the Stampin' Up! exclusive Little Leaves Sizzlit and the flowers were made using the Birds and Blooms Sizzlits. I used the pearl halves from the Pretties Kit for the flower centers and the butterfly is from the Great Friend stamp set. It was embossed with clear embossing powder before cutting it out.
Enjoy!
