Tone on Tone

Here's a layout that will work for several card types.

I created this card for an over sized wedding card swap. This one measures 6" x 6". By changing out the embellishments and sentiment, you could use this for many occasions.

What I love about the tone on tone or monochromatic cards is that they are so easy and quick to put together. You don't need to worry about coordinating colors or trying to match embellishments. Just pick two or three shades of one color and go for it!

Using the Big Shot also made this card come together pretty quickly.
I added texture to the white layer using the Distress Texturz Plate included in the Texture Plate #4 kit, the leaves were cut using the Stampin' Up! exclusive Little Leaves Sizzlit and the flowers were made using the Birds and Blooms Sizzlits. I used the pearl halves from the Pretties Kit for the flower centers and the butterfly is from the Great Friend stamp set. It was embossed with clear embossing powder before cutting it out.

Enjoy!
